Hello and Welcome!

Also welcome to blog post number 1 at chrysalisdesign.co.nz. I did blog over at my weebly website but it was inconsistent, blogging has always seemed like this big thing that hangs over my head as a small business girl boss.

I’ve started and stopped so many times, struggling to find my voice. I always felt that a blog post needed to be planned and perfect (and therefore super time consuming) which is why I found Instagram and even Facebook so much easier. I felt I could voice my opinion about this little photo or that Block room reveal in ‘x’ amount of words and a few hashtags, wam bam thank you mam. Done.

But you know what why the hell can’t I do that here too? So that’s what I’m going to do, it’s probably going to be a bit of a pick n mix of whatever takes my fancy so hang in there and hopefully along the way I can also teach you a thing or two. There’s not going to be a Moodboard Monday every week or a Throwback Thursday like other blogs have (and like almost every “how to start a blog” post I’ve read recommends where your blogging life is planned down to the second you must post it on social media or else the world will end!). As I said before it will be a bit of a pic n mix, so you might get a moodboard if I’m feeling inspired. You might get me giving my opinion on the latest room reveal on The Block  (although I have done 3 weeks worth of The Block NZ on Insta so will probably keep it over there, the links to check them out are 1,2,3) or you might just get a selection of products or pics that float my boat.

I will try and make it as interesting as possible though, otherwise what’s the point, right?
